Recent Harvard grad Keke McQueen, 23, is eager to ditch her hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan for her dream job in Atlanta, but when Keke discovers that her once super-sharp Grandma Janice is showing early signs of dementia, Keke puts her career at stake in order to save her Grandma's block party, and in the process, Keke falls back in love with her hometown and its people.

One hot summer day in New Orleans, BJ (Troy Anders) tries to keep his deceased brother's legacy alive by throwing the hottest, rip-roaring block party of the summer. But he has a few obstacles to overcome first, one jealous baby-mamma and a crooked cop trying to sabotage the whole event.

AJ and his homie Trip are determined to throw the hottest block party of the summer, for the third year in a row. This year there will be more obstacles than ever, but nothin’ can stop these boyz from having a good time.

A wonderful making of featurette that focuses on the controversial novel that inspired the film Last Exit to Brooklyn (1989) as well the production history of the film. German director Uli Edel and members of his technical crew also discuss some of the obstacles that had to be overcome while shooting on location in Brooklyn. The real characters that are portrayed in the film are also interviewed.

CJ carries on his family tradition by putting together the biggest jam of the summer. Things seem to be going great, until he is confronted by the hilarious antics of a crooked cop named "Blue Eyes" and his older brother's baby -mamma.
